No problem 
Many team members have never danced before joining. We love new beginners, and returning members are more than happy to help out new members!
Can I compete if I've never danced before?
Definitely. Dancers are placed into divisions based on experience, so you will only compete against others who are at the same level.
Do I need to pay to be a part of Rice Ballroom?
Yes, our annual due is $50 for Rice students and there may be minor costs associated with buying dance shoes. However, if you have any issues with cost, we are happy to work something out! Cost should never be a major barrier to joining Rice Ballroom.
Prospective members from outside of Rice may need to pay a higher fee. Please contact us for more information.
